FASHION [26 Ottobre 2001]
There are no less than 24 shop windows. A year after the renovation of the women's store, the project is now completed with the addition of a men's store, renovated and enlarged for an amount of 800 sq. meters of shop floor.
The result is amazing also because the two shops, linked together, are like an exhibition gallery where each collection is shown into its own room. The store holds the most beautiful brand the fashion system can offer: Gucci , Armani , Versace , Cavalli , Fendi , Yves Saint Laurent , Dior , Valentino , Etro , Ferragamo are just a few of them. Over a year we have opened the men's and women' boutiques.
This project represents a real innovation for Sicily - explains Michele Giglio . Each label has a shop windows, a counter, a dressing room and a shop assistant like a store inside the store. Also, each collection is proposed with its own image, following the designer's philosophy and the visual merchandising of its single label store. The architects Rocco Magnoli and Lorenzo Cannellini created this beautiful, contemporary, elegant, well-lit store with a particular aim: extolling pieces.

The fitting out, by Marzorati Ronchetti, is consistent with the concept of the stores: tables, hatstands and wall bearings are made of satin stainless steel with Plexiglas sandblasted elements internally lit. The walls are painted in white-grey stucco while the floor is realized with big light grey slabs enriched by tesserae of silver mosaic.
The opening of the Boutique Uomo was organized in big style but with a moderate tone because of the tragic act of terrorism in the USA. After a cocktail in the store there was a party in the exclusive Club La Cuba Sperlinga. Many personalities and representatives of the fashion world were present such as the president of the Italian Fashion Chamber Mario Boselli, , Silvano Gerani e Manlio Cocchini, (Gerani group), Roberto Jorio Fili (GFT), Loredana Nastro (Ittierre), Fiorenzo Schincaglia (Giorgio Armani), Angelo Barozzi (Stefanel), Massimo della Rocca (Valentino), Sebastiano Giorgini e Sandro Delfino (Etro), Valentina Zerboni e Alessandro Varisco (Gianni Versace), Gabriele Maggio (Helmut Lang), Beatrice Sorbi, Pepe Esteva and Arcangelo Passirani (Prada), Saverio Moschillo (Moschillo), nine journalists from all parts of Italy and many customers of Palermo’s high society
