Fashion, glamour and show during the GIGLIO party
Five fashion moments performed by 25 models, and some male model, on ideal runways – tableau vivants on psychedelic podiums and images of runway shows displayed on maxi-screens. Before that there had been jokes and musical performance on a one man show just for Giglio’s guests. The showman Fiorello came with his band and the Sicilian comic characters Tommaso Accardo, of “Stasera, pago io”.
The eight thousand sq. meters of the Mediterranean fair were an unusual scenery. The decorators of the Milan’s runway shows designed for the event a big stage a show room and a disco. “ Since the beginning we have had an enthusiastic receptions from the designers – tells Giuseppe Giglio, the manager of the group.
With this soirée we wanted Palermo to be launched in the international fashion events scene”. Even though the great of the fashion world still think of Milan, Rome, Florence as the real Italian capital of the fashion industry. “Palermo and its young talent designers, can work for the fashion industry but we already have plenty of capital” says Santo Versace.

Roberto Cavalli was the most creative and strenuous in spite of the hard work of the fashion shows in Milan. He was photographed with his fans many times, he joked with the models and later he enjoyed the disco. He opted for some cocktails rather than dancing. “The evening have been a big success, even though it was organized quickly. That has been possible tanks the great competence of the Giglios” remarked the fashion designer.
Among the guests there were: Alba Parietti and Prince Giuseppe Lanza di Scalea, one of the new couple of this Summer: the sexy Brazilian volleyball player Ana Paula Mancino and the blond Cico Paladino, the marketing advisor of the Cultural Heritage’s regional counsellor’s office Ferruccio Barbera.
