Santo Versace in Palermo

“Palermo can become a fashion capital”.

“As regards fashion in Palermo is no way inferior to the other big European capital cities. That’s true for clothing and new creations too, as the last events have shown”. Santo Versace has no doubts about that. He is in Palermo for the opening of the new boutique Donna Giglio.

Today at 6:00 pm the world-famous designer will inaugurate the redesigned store in Piazza Croci. “I decided to come in Palermo for the opening of the store- says Versace- because Michele Giglio and I have been close friends for years”.

According to the prestigious designer women “have to be sensual and have not to be afraid to have people look at them”. The new boutique has 16 windows and covers over than 400 sq. meters. It’s interior was designed by the architect Lorenzo Carmellini and Rocco Magnoli of the Spatium firm in a very elegant style and with a particular attention for details. The two architects take also care of the layout of the Versace stores worldwide. The floor is made of a particular resin with silver and gold mosaics, stuccos walls, stand and shelves of steel and glass.
