Once upon a time a Giglio…

(Cristiana Rizzo) One could breath air of glamour at Cuba, at the opening party of the new Giglio boutique , on Saturday night.

The entrance path was all covered with a beige glittering carpet, with funny light games, it was leading to the Cuba, completely restyled for the occasion.

But let’s start from the top.Everything started at 17 in Crispi Square, where there was a huge tent-like structure in white aluminium, covered in pvc and furnished with sofas and tables in lily-white, hosts guests from the world of fashion, journalists and tv chronicle reporters, and other personalities of our city.

During the appetizers, with the catering done by Pizzo & pizzo, there was a live band playing.

I was directed towards the boutique: two imposing staircases made from glass occupying the centre of the ground floor captured my attention together with the glossy black elevator leading to the upper for woman dressing divided into 18 sections. The ground level is also sub-divided like the upper level, and each section is occupied by one designer displaying accessories and clothes. And now the two excellent new entries of Jimmy Choo and Zanotti too… Yes that’s what I said, that is the result of my “snorkelling”.

We saw Marta Marzotto with her unique style, in a striped kaftano (maybe Cavalli …?) and diamonds earing that not all women can show with her same class, being her one of the few woman to whom such a style is allowed. She is surrounded by an halo of charme.

And then John Richmond and lots of guys and girls posing with him for a shot.

And more Eva Cavalli, Marco Glaviano, Graziella Vigo, Paola Paciotti , Edoardo Costa, Eva Riccobono, Eleonara Abbagnato…

Lots of them would be few hours later in Cuba.

Roberto Cavalli’s architect and Teypad took care of the interior decorations, and the logistics, lights and set up have been taking of by General Service. And inside Cuba I am overwhelmed by an ethno-chic style.

At the entrance were two white vases of two meters with orchids, also found on all the tables, opulent candlesticks. Everything was objectively impeccable.

To comment on the black voice of the vocalist, the photographer and journalist Graziella Vigo, white kimono skirt and jacket, taking photos of the friends, talking with the mayor who left not to long after the conclusion of the evening meal. Eva Riccobono, with her fringe and cigarette, talking never-ending,; a Moroccan girl of a past edition of Big Brother enjoying the party with fun and enthusiasm.

Edoardo Costa, 2 meters of testosterone, all in black…….honestly beautiful.

The atmosphere is sparkling. The hosts, shining and dancing for the good result.

At about one at night the dances are open to those invited for the after meal party. Girls are incredibly careful to every single details, funny accessories, designer dresses and jewels with logos showing off. Such a peculiar look is not easily found on normal nights.

Well, it all looked like a capital of fashion during the fashion week, and lots of dancing, drinking and laughs. And just for one night Palermo – Cinderella went to bal and lived her fairy tale.
