Creative Director Demna Gavsalia takes us into a video game with the new "The age of Tomorrow" collection, where virtual avatars wear Balenciaga garments imagining a future of ever-changing clothes. The goal is to dematerialize the concept of a unique garment and make it immortal through aging treatments of the materials. Unisex look with relaxed fits, functional "armor" garments, comfortable tailored suits, deliberately disproportionate cuts and wrinkled treatments that never require an iron, all to subvert the fashion world towards a futuristic vision made of satin trench coats transformed into dresses dresses and blankets that become coats.
