The Sicilian brand Sikuly born from the project of a group of young entrepreneurs which deeply embedded in their historical traditions intend to make known one of the artisan traditional product of their land, the Sicily.
The “coffa” is an handmade basket produced by the binding of “curina” a part of mediterranean dwarf palm leaves particularly resistant whose origin can be found in the rural Sicilian tradition: originally, in effect, it was mainly used to fodder the horses or carry goods and materials on mules. In its contemporary restatement is considered a fashion accessory, a women’s original and cosy bag.
The Sikuly coffas are entirely made and decorated by hand using carefully selected fine materials and details. They are completed by soft fabrics and equipped by an accessories pochette. Every little imperfection is the added value of a product of which handcrafted creation defines its uniqueness. A metallic plate hand-painted by masters of Sicilian decorative art with subjects of Sicilian tradition, is placed to completion of an unique and exclusive accessory characterized by an high-quality workmanship.
